How we write our guides.
Sources, checks, corrections and what we will not do.
How topics are chosen
Guides start from questions people in India actually have about everyday money: what a salary day looks like, how a credit card bill works, where recurring payments hide, how to keep papers for tax time. We also add a guide when a rule changes and readers will need the new numbers.
Topics are not chosen because a product or partner would benefit. We do not publish a guide to rank a fund, an insurer or a lender.
How facts are checked
- Rules, limits, rates and dates are checked against official sources before publishing, such as the Income Tax Department, the Union Budget documents, RBI, SEBI, AMFI, PFRDA, EPFO, IRDAI and NPCI.
- Every guide lists its sources, with the date we last opened them.
- Every worked example is recalculated before publishing, and the steps are shown so you can repeat them.
- If we cannot verify a number, we do not state it. We describe how to check it instead.
- Examples with people in them are labelled as examples. We do not invent quotes, user stories or statistics.
Each guide shows when it was published and when it was last reviewed. The author is named, and links to his author page.
Education, not advice
Kubear is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, an insurance adviser or a tax adviser. Our guides explain how things work and show the maths. They do not tell you what to buy, sell, repay, insure or file.
- No product, fund, stock or insurer picks, and no rankings.
- No promised or expected returns. Where a calculation uses an assumed rate, it is labelled illustrative and is not a forecast.
- Comparisons end with questions to check for your own situation, not a verdict.
- Every guide ends with a note that it is general education.
No paid placements
We do not accept payment, commission or gifts to feature a product, a provider or a brand in a guide. We do not run affiliate links inside guides. Where a guide mentions Kubear, it sits in a short, clearly marked section that describes what the product does.
How AI tools are used
Every worked example is recalculated before a guide is published, and figures are checked against the official source named in the guide. Guides are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by the author before they go live. AI tools do not publish anything on their own.
AI tools can be wrong, which is why every guide names its sources and shows its working, so you can check it yourself. The AI assistant inside the Kubear app is separate. It answers only from your own records, and the data protection page explains how that is handled.
When guides are updated
We review guides on a regular rhythm and when something changes:
- After the Union Budget, for tax slabs, limits and deductions.
- Around 1 April, when the new financial year starts.
- When RBI, SEBI, NPCI or another regulator changes a rule a guide relies on.
- When a reader reports a mistake.
The review date on each guide shows the last time it was checked.
Corrections
If you find an error, an out-of-date figure or a broken source, write to hello@kuberos.in with the guide link and what you saw. We check it against the source. If you are right, we fix the guide, change its review date and, for a material error, say what changed.
