How to compare money apps: ten questions to ask any app
Features look alike. The answers to a few plain questions do not. Ask them of every app, including Kubear.
Short answer
To compare money apps, ask the same ten questions of each: what access it needs, who reads your documents, whether you can export and delete, how sharing works, and whether it gives facts or advice. Example: an app needing your bank login asks for more than one taking a ₹120 entry you type. Kubear answers each below.

Why compare by type and by questions?
Apps come in a few types: bank-linked, SMS-reading, manual, and chat-and-review. See the main types of money apps in India. Names change often. The questions below stay the same, so you can use them on any app today or next year.
What do I ask a money app?

What if I import a mutual fund statement?
A mutual fund statement (CAS) can be imported. The PDF and the password you type are sent to CASParser, an Indian statement-reading service, so that it can read the file. Kubear uses the password once, does not store it, and deletes its temporary copy of the PDF after every attempt. You see a draft and can correct it before it is saved. How do I use the list?
Write the ten questions down and score nothing. Just read each answer, and see which ones matter to you. Someone who wants no typing may care most about question 1. Someone sharing a flat may care most about question 7. The mix that matters is yours to pick.
