Yearly Costs Per Month Calculator

Short answer. Add the costs that come once or twice a year and divide by 12 to get the monthly amount; each item's share is its cost divided by the total. Example: ₹1,93,000 a year equals ₹16,083 a month, and school fees are 31% of it. In Kubear you record yearly bills and renewal dates, and switch on reminders.

How it is worked out

When people use this

Insurance premiums, school fees, Diwali, car service and yearly subscriptions land in one month but belong to all twelve. This calculator spreads the yearly total over 12 months and shows each item's share.

It is arithmetic on the amounts you type. It does not move any money.

The calculation is plain, repeatable arithmetic on the numbers you type. It runs in your browser, so the figures you enter are not sent to a server by this tool. Results are illustrations from the numbers you enter, not financial, tax or investment advice.

What you enter

  • Yearly insurance premium
  • Yearly school or college fee
  • Yearly Diwali and festival cost
  • Yearly car or bike service and insurance
  • Yearly subscription cost
  • Yearly travel and holiday cost
  • Yearly cost of gifts and functions
  • Miscellaneous yearly cost

How it works

Yearly total = the sum of the costs you type. Monthly amount = yearly total ÷ 12, rounded to the nearest rupee. Each item's share = its cost ÷ yearly total, shown as a whole percent.

Each item is also shown as a monthly amount, rounded on its own, so the items can differ from the total by a rupee or two.

Costs that repeat every month, such as rent or an EMI, are not part of this list.

Assumptions

  • Each amount is what you expect to pay in a full year. Amounts are not raised for price rises.
  • The monthly figure is the yearly total spread evenly over 12 months.
  • Nothing is set aside or moved by the calculator.
