The One-Account Trap
If your primary bank account has ₹85,000 on the 10th of the month, you subconsciously feel wealthy, even if ₹50,000 of that is spoken for rent, card bills, and upcoming auto-debits.
The 3-Account Architecture
1. Account A (The Income & Fixed Hub): Where your employer deposits your CTC. All rent transfers, home loan EMIs, utility bills, and mutual fund SIP auto-debits originate here.
2. Account B (The Daily UPI Spending Account): The only account connected to PhonePe, Google Pay, or Paytm. You transfer a fixed weekly allowance (e.g., ₹5,000) every Monday. When Account B reaches zero, discretionary spending pauses until next Monday.
3. Account C (The Safety Vault): Holds emergency reserves and sinking funds in Sweep-in FDs. You do not carry this debit card in your wallet.
